Runway 17/35 is 2,750 by 75 feet. Airport permission, current NOTAMs, field status, and aircraft fit still need direct confirmation.

Lewiston is a junction for Maine Routes 4, 121, 126, 136, 196, and U.S. 202, with three area I-95 interchanges described by the city. Regional connectivity does not establish final-site access or control. The intake checklist records the actual load route and ground boundaries before aircraft comparison.

Local Constraints and Planning Responses

FAA remarks list birds, intensive daily helicopter operations, and occasional blasting southwest of Runway 04. A right-hand helicopter pattern is published at 788 feet MSL. Current NOTAMs, local activity, airport coordination, and route review matter more than static familiarity.

Industries That Use External Lift in Lewiston

Lewiston identifies an economic base that includes health care, education, precision manufacturing, telecommunications, and warehousing or distribution. These are citywide sectors, not proof of a specific lift requirement.

The April 2025 Economic Base Analysis appended to the city’s June strategy identifies transportation and warehousing plus manufacturing as leading sectors.
