Columbia requires a right-of-way permit before specified work on sidewalks, curbs, driveways, or streets in public right-of-way. Some traffic-control plans must be prepared by a Missouri-licensed engineer or surveyor. The site survey checklist keeps that ground process separate from aircraft planning.

NWS regional climate statistics say Columbia averages about 34 summer days at or above 90 degrees and about two days at or above 100 degrees.
