The current FAA Southwest Chart Supplement lists four runways and identifies high-volume local operations, jet training, Class D service during published hours, and the Mexican border seven nautical miles west. Open desert does not remove airspace or border constraints.

Yuma connects to regional freight movement through I-8 and SR 195. The city economic development record identifies agriculture, logistics, defense, manufacturing, cold storage, packaging, and cross-border warehousing. Those sites can present rooftop or industrial-equipment placements where heat and operating continuity govern the window.
The Yuma Project includes Laguna Dam, pumping plants, canals, laterals, and drains across a broad service area. Inspection or equipment placement along that network has to account for water operations, embankment access, land ownership, and the ability to secure a site if weather closes in.
