The city’s airport master plan says LRU’s mesa location encounters varied wind speed and direction. Current wind observations and aircraft-specific limits must control the work window.

The National Weather Service monsoon guide says downbursts can produce damaging straight-line wind and blowing dust that cuts visibility quickly. Southern New Mexico can see the most extreme dust storms.

Industries That Use External Lift in Las Cruces

The industrial park identifies districts for agricultural processing, manufacturing and distribution, plus aviation and defense. Those are supportable local settings for equipment placement without claiming a specific project.

The airport master plan describes direct access from I-10 Exit 132 and utility service to most airport facilities. Work touching a state highway, utility corridor, or oversize movement still needs the applicable NMDOT review.
