The Census Bureau’s Vintage 2025 estimates place Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington first among metropolitan areas containing Pennsylvania territory, at 6,329,118 residents on July 1, 2025. The count includes New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland territory. It selects the guide, but does not measure city population or lifting demand.
The current FAA Northeast Chart Supplement entry for Philadelphia International places PHL five miles southwest of the city. It lists four paved runway pairs, continuous attendance, and Class B airspace. Those facts support an early aviation screen. Philadelphia’s construction street-closure permit page expressly lists helicopter lifts. The city requires advanced coordination, police involvement, a complete list of affected blocks, and an application at least 10 business days before the proposed start. The National Weather Service KPHL climate normals show a January normal high of 41.3 degrees, a 26.0-degree low, and 7.1 inches of snow. July’s normal high is 87.8 degrees. These baselines support seasonal access and performance planning. Current observations, forecasts, and aircraft limits still govern the work window.

PhilaPort describes Packer Avenue Marine Terminal as a 160-acre Delaware River facility with six berths, direct rail connections, and immediate access to I-95 and I-76. Published cargoes include containers, steel products, frozen meat, fruit, and project cargo. At a comparable terminal site, vessel activity, rail movements, security boundaries, component weight, and receiving geometry need separate verification.
Philadelphia Water’s Water Revitalization Plan covers treatment plants, pumping facilities, transmission mains, and storage. The department says some projects may affect streets or parking.
