The National Weather Service severe-weather climatology identifies April through June as the most active period in its Mid-South warning area. Damaging-wind reports peak in June, while severe reports occur most often in the late afternoon and early evening. These are historical regional patterns, not a work-date forecast or aircraft limit.

The MPO freight report also maps posted bridges and high-volume truck routes. Industries That Use External Lift in Memphis

The Port Commission lists 68 waterfront facilities, including 37 terminals handling products such as petroleum, cement, steel, fertilizer, and grain.
