The 2020 Census counted 446,529 residents in the Reno, Nevada-California urban area. That whole-area count places Reno second in Nevada’s fallback. It does not define a project footprint or predict where access is practical.
The current FAA entry for Reno/Tahoe International Airport lists three paved runways, continuous tower operation, Class C airspace, and a traffic mix ranging from light aircraft to heavy military transports. Parking, fuel, staging, and external-load acceptance require direct confirmation.
The city’s economic-development resources identify logistics plus engineering services that support manufacturing among Reno’s target industries. That is economic context, while parcel control and compatible staging remain site-specific. The Carson City guide covers a separate airport-industrial setting to the south.
FAA guidance for Reno/Tahoe International flags extreme winds, windshear, turbulence, mountain obscuration, and high density altitude. It also identifies glider activity, waterfowl, and noise-sensitive areas. A direct line from the airport to a site is not an airspace plan.
The NWS Reno climate record documents temperatures from subzero winter lows to triple-digit summer highs at Reno/Tahoe International, along with measurable snowfall. Historical records are context only. Conditions need review at the work site, staging area, and route between them.
NDOT requires over-dimensional vehicle permits when a non-divisible load exceeds published weight or dimension thresholds. Route clearance and capacity review do not settle property access, local traffic control, or staging rights.

The city identifies logistics and manufacturing-support engineering in its target-industry work. That supports industrial context without identifying a live project or treating the region as one uniform work zone.
Airport references and receiving sites are not interchangeable. The site survey checklist helps separate aviation access from the actual receiving site, truck route, and exclusion area.
