Why Eugene Changes the Lift Plan

The Census Bureau’s Vintage 2025 estimates place Eugene-Springfield third among metropolitan areas containing Oregon territory, at 381,584 residents. The whole-metro figure selects this Eugene guide. It is not Eugene city population or evidence of lifting demand.

The current FAA diagram for Mahlon Sweet Field shows parallel runways measuring 8,009 by 150 feet and 6,000 by 150 feet, with a field elevation of 374 feet. The towered-airport diagram warns pilots to read back runway-holding instructions. Current charts, NOTAMs, obstacles, and the proposed route must guide off-airport review.

Local Constraints and Planning Responses

The National Weather Service Eugene 2025 climate report recorded 32.34 inches of precipitation and 36 days with a minimum temperature at or below freezing. These are recent annual observations, not a forecast for a proposed work date.

Industries That Use External Lift in Eugene

Clear Lake covers about 650 acres across 11 sites between Eugene Airport and Highway 99. The City identifies aircraft technology, robotics, wood products, and food manufacturing in the regional base. Each property still needs current utility, access, and occupancy checks.
